What paint or spray paint is best to us on lamps?

I bought two lamps and want to paint them a different color but not sure what kind to use.What paint or spray paint is best to us on lamps?
If these are metal lamps that are going to get hot, don't use a plastic based spray like Krylon!


Get some automotive spray paint designed for painting engines or other hot surfaces. This won't discolor or burn.





If the lamps won't be getting hot, then you can use anything. Just be sure you thoroughly clean the surfaces to remove body oils and other gunk so the paint will stick well.What paint or spray paint is best to us on lamps?
Depending if you are using the paint on the surfaces that are actually going to get hot you will need a paint that will stand up to heat. It will say high heat on the can. I am assuming that you are painting metal?? Just make sure you prime your surface first or no matter what you put on will come off. Most cans of paint will say on the label somewhere what surfaces its best on.
