What type of spray paint shall I buy for a graffiti style mural?

I've painted murals before, but I've been asked to do one using spray paints in graffiti style. I've never used spray paints before and I'm not sure whether to use car paint or get the cans from a specialist art supplier. If your looking to do a mural use montanas. They are a little expensive but they are the best. And you said you have little exprience with spray paint so they will give you the best results. NO drips but that all according to your can control...

To be true to the ethos of Graffiti artists,you should go out and steal your cans from anywhere you can get away with it. OR REALLY, car paint has the best range of colours,while household enamel style paint will probably be better on ordinary walls unless you use a primer first.
If the mural you are doing is inside, you may want to opt for an air brush.....createx has some awesome color ranges and paints to work with.....


What is your ';canvas'; material?? Depending on that, you may want to make sure the foundation is laid before you get into car paint.....will you need to prime, etc.

I use Krylon, it does very well, but is a little on the expensive side.
