My bathtub, toilet, and sink are this horrible mustard brown color and I finally have the time to paint them white. Problem is, I'm not sure what type of paint or spray paint to use or where to get it? Can anyone help me out on this one? What type of paint/spray paint do you use to repaint/refinish your bathtub/toilet/sink?
There are refinishing companies that will come %26amp; do it for a about $300-400 for the tub %26amp; about $150-200 each for the sink %26amp; toilet. Its a multi-step process that basically costs the same to DIY. My construction company does it all the time-if you're in the NY area I can help you out.
But its:
2 qt. EP- Acrylic White Gloss Base
1 pt. EP-Acrylic Catalyst (4 to 1)
1 qt. EP-Acrylic Reducer MED
1 qt. Ultra Primer Base
1 qt. Ultra Primer Catalyst (1 to 1)
1 qt. Ultra Primer Reducer
1/2 qt. Chemical Adhesor - Blue
1 qt. Step I Cleaner
1 qt. Step II CleanerWhat type of paint/spray paint do you use to repaint/refinish your bathtub/toilet/sink?
You would do better to get the covers for them. Painting them is not going to last long.
They do make a paint for that purpose.
However, I know several families have tried painting themselves...and the paint just peels off and looks even worse then.
It's up to you though.
