How do you break a spray paint seal?

I just got spray paint for the first time (the brand is Montana) and I can't figure out how to spray it. I shake it for a long time, press down and nothing happens. Is there some way to break the seal on it or something?How do you break a spray paint seal?

it SHOULD just start spraying





people try these at store sometimes- a little dried paintmay be clogging the nozzle (the thing you press)


try removing it, and soaking it in paint thinner, or squirting some brake parts cleaner through it, to clear it)


when put it back on can, be SURE and point it AWAY FROM YOU as it WILL begin spraying al of a sudden (and dont want in face)





this is a lot of trpuble, though.


it may be easier to juast go back to store and swap it for a can that works (have them try it right there, and make sure it does

After you're done painting, always turn can upside down and spray for 2 or 3 second to clear the paint from the fine passage way which is that nozzlle


this way YOU wont end up clogging it!How do you break a spray paint seal?
check to see if it has an alignment mark, usually a dot on the top of the can., line up the spray button opening with it...it that doesnt work it may be clogged with dry paint. take it back for another.
You got an old can. Get a different nozzle for it. One of your neighbors probably has one.
