i have a few white rocks, and some fake corals, can i paint them with normal spray paint?
can they harm my fish, i mean the paint's chemicals?
what kind of paint is OK, for fish and plants?
thanks in advance...Can I use spray paint to paint some of my aquarium decorations?
Don't Do it!
It will definatley poison your fish!
Not sure what paint would be safe, but I bet it would cost more to buy it than it would to buy all new decorationsCan I use spray paint to paint some of my aquarium decorations?
NO! fish are amazingly sensitive to everything. if you despartely want some colored stuff go buy it new. fish are kind of like babies, you would spray paint your kids toys, so don't do it with your fish's plants. that has all kinds of toxins and nasty smells, so my answer is no, if you don't really like your fish, do it, if you doin't trust me, go ask @ petco or something.
hope it helps
christine
i would seriosuly recommend not doing it

The only spray paint I've read about people using successfully in their aquarium is Krylon Fusion. Give it a few days to cure if you do decide to try it. Please note that I've not tried it personally, but if you perform a search for ';Krylon Fusion aquarium'; you can see more threads on the topic.
no. dont use any paint it will kill the fish for sure!!!!!!!!
If you want to kill all your fish this is a good idea. Otherwise I say forget it!
The paint will leech into the water and will be harmful to your fish. You might try instead making your own decorations using bisque, and then glazing/firing it to make your own ceramic decor. They will not leech anything into the water. :)
