If you want a good durable flat finish, you can use black epoxy based primer. It's a professional grade product, so you need a sprayer, or one of those little Preval spray jars. Go to an outomotive paint shop and tell them what you have in mind. If it's a good place, they will totally help you out. If you get the right stuff and do the prep work, you will have a really nice looking product. What is a good spray paint for a flat black motorcycle?
Better than flat black is ';International Safety Black';, also known as Rustoleum Satin Finish Black. This is the closest thing to a stealth paint job you can get. If hostile motorists can't draw a bead on you, they will have a hard time hitting you.
Lots of the factory kawasaki bikes now come in flat colors, black included, but I do not think its just primer(?)
