what is a good spray paint to use on fabric with the use of stencils? and one that will NOT fade when you wash it. also not one that sprays in single spurts, but one constant stream, like with regular spray paint.Spray Paint?
I hope you are not going out to tag freeways mister..... lol
For fabric I suppose you would have a couple choices. Spray paint is not the very best medium for textile and garments because of it's porousness.
Regular spray cans utilize an industrial solvent or arcylic enamel solution that you can thin with laquer thinner... this is not very good for your dresses, t shirts, tents or backpacks... it tends to seep through the fabric.
IF YOU HAVE TO USE SPRAY PAINT... I would recommend the New Water based paints made by Krylon. They only came out about a year ago... I would also experiment with the Flower spraypaint that you get in Michaels craft stores.
Your best bet, is actually AIRBRUSH. They make fabric paint that can be steadily sprayed through stencils with sharp and opaque results. The best companies that make this is CREATEX and AQUAFLOW. You might contact them for catalogs and mail order. You can also contact ARTERNATIVES for the mail-order airbrushing or al the least good suggestions.
Best of fortune*
